Well one thing i know for sure is that Bearshare Lite is stacked full of spyware

yes - the lite version says its full of spyware, and it is

the pro version is full of spyware and they say it isn't

if you want to stay with the file sharing network bearshare is on try to find a version of Limewire pro. you can download the free version but it puts spyware such as Limeshop on your PC and I had a hard time getting rid of Limeshop off my PC. If you do this make sure you have the latest version of Java cause if you don't your download speeds will suck
