I tried running ILO/LiteOn Firmware Hacker Version 1.5 from http://ilohacker.tripod.com/ on firmware LNFA1000.E30 and got this message in the status window:

Searching file.
Error: Could Not Find Macrovision Hex String!

Am I doing something wrong? What can I try?
