Does Peerguardian offer the same protection for torrent downloaders?

If not, is there something else that could be used?

PeerGuardian 2 is out, and is much better than PG. It offers protection for all things when you turn it on. =D Just turn it off when you're surfing the web!

I realise, which is why I have asked:

... because I am interested in it's latest version and if that will help me with torrents.

Well that's good, but does it specifically handle torrents or is "all things" a "maybe", in answering my question?
