There comes a time that you get a movie that just bugs the hell out of you, you wonder why you can't copy it. The movie is "After The Sunset", new release.

I have "AnyDVD" running in the backroung. I have tried to copy this movie with the following apps.
o DVD X Copy Plat.
o DVD Decrypter
o DVD Shrink
o DVD Copy Tools

Has anyone been able to copy this DVD? If so ..HOW????

Most of us will have to wait until Tuesday to give it a go. I expect to be successful with AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. Like I said I expect to be able to do it. May not, either.

bilbo65, thanks for the reply..it's these small things that bother me. All it takes is one new release that I can't copy to screw up my day by making me wonder what's stoping it.

Hope to hear something from anyone that has the same problem and how they got around it...

Probably needs those dummy cells I've been hearing about. Someone said the latest DVD Decrypter solves this by putting dummy cells where the ones that won't budge are.

I have no personal experience with it though.

Hey Rider,
How far are you getting along before you run into probs? I wonder if the DVD you got was a bad pressing.
Does the reading error show up in about the same place with each app?
Just some thoughts.
HW.

Make sure you have the newest version of Decrypter 3.5.4.0 and turn off AnyDVD or other backround programs they have been known to cause problems when using Decrypter with some of the newer movies.Or like Hallywood said you might have a bad disc.

nohelpme the DVD is to large for DVD Shrink to copy. The way to copy this is first to use DVD X Copy Plat then write with Nero Recode and this works and plays in my DVD player near my TV.

Well that is where the "shrink" part comes in. Only fooling. Yes I had to compress it a little.

It must be a bad pressing because I'm having the same issue. Every program used all failed at the same place...also, when trying to view that particular portion of the DVD on both DVD-ROM and home DVD player, video freezes. Just thought I'd pass this on...

The broblem with after the sunset is that it is to large for dvd shrnk to copy. The app even tells you when you try to copy it. My problem is that I', building computers for clients then answering the phoen and trouble shooting while I'm trying to remmeber how I did things.

Like I said the correct way to copy this is with DVD X copy Plat then write it with Nero Recode, the nice thing about this is that you only get the movie and Recode does not copy the "Studio 321" on the DVD.

If you say so!

Why not rip it with Decrypter in File Mode then run it through Recode.

There is no "correct" way to copy a disc. There are numerious ways with different combinations of programs. One should use what works for them even though some are severly outdated. Keeping your decrypters up dated is most important.

DVD Shrink Free >to compress/encode
