Hello to all!

I just recently built me a new computer, and after I got done installing all the drivers and other apps, I installed HL2/WoW/ and GTA VC.

When I load up HL2, the opening screen loads up, and I'm able to select "Play Game", after that the Half Life 2 logo appears, which should be followed by a movie. After the logo fades away, I get about 3 seconds of movie sound (no picture) and then my monitor goes black, and doesnt do anything afterwards, forcing me to reboot.

I thought maybe I forgot to update the drivers off of Nvidia, so I double checked that. I tried playing GTAVC and everything worked fine there, I played for about 20 minutes with no problems at all. So could this just be a HL2 problem? Or would I run into further problems in the future?

The computer I built is as follows:

Microsoft Windows XP Pro/V.2002 SP 1

AMD Athlon Processor
2800+
1.81GHz
1.00GB of Ram.

Geforce 6600 GT 128 AGP 8x.

One more question before I go, when I selected my drivers on Nvidia.com, I selected the GeForce/WinXP/2000 option. I noticed at the very bottom there was a WinXP/Pro option I believe. Could that where my mistake lies? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
