I followed http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm exactly and when I click on the mp3 icon on the left side all it will do is create a .wav file from the CD in the drive. lame and cfg files are installed in correct folders. Help!

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

thanks, I've read it forwards and backwards and followed it exactly, only got it to finally work by selecting 'VBR' in Compression Setting, won't work with regular bitrate for some reason.
