I just got my dsl netspeed upgrated to 8 / 1 meg, but my torrent or dc++ download speeds are exactly the same as before when I still got 2 / 512 line.

This speed test now gives me around 6400 kb/s where as it used to give me 1700 with my old connection. Could there be something wrong with my a-link roadrunner 44 b? Is there anything I can do to fix this other than buying a new dsl box? My downloadspeed tops at 200 kb/s and most of the time it's around 100 kb/s. Pretty much the same as before. But at my friend's house who also has the same speed connection he can download around 400 kb/s usually, sometimes a lot better too.
