Hello,
I was burning a DVD today and it stopped at 3% and basically froze, i waited awhile because the red light was still flashing. now my dvd-rw drive wont read anything, no cds or dvd. Is this something that can be fixed/explained or did my drive just die, after i bought it two months ago. seriously, this makes no sense. i really fucking want to hurt somebody! what can i do. please help!!

nope that doesn't help, we need more to go on, like system specs, software you're using, logfile from your burning prog minus serial numbers, etc etc

'fraid lights and beeping aren't enough for my telepathic abilities lol :)

I take it then that it is an external Burner?

First things first, do the basics such as try a cleaning disk to clean anything that might cause a problem on it's laser and a different USB port on your PC if available. If it is an external, also try it on another PC, (friends, etc.,) just to rule out a possible USB issue with the external case. But if it is less then two months old, hopefully its still under warranty if you have to return it.
