I recently bought some TV series DVD's from an Asian seller on eBay that are in all likelihood bootlegs since (among other signs) they are on DVD-5's not DVD-9's.

But, mostly out of intellectual curiosity, I want to see if I can determine HOW they copied the original DVD - that is, did they use DVD-Shrink or DVD-XCopy or just what program THEY used to get the DVD-9 down to a DVD-5? Is there any way to determine what program was used to "shrink" what were probably originally DVD-9's to the DVD-5's I now have, perhaps by "viewing" one of the files on the DVD-5? In other words, do the DVD backup programs insert a string that can be used to identify itself?

Or, better yet, is there any program that I can run that will tell me - the DVD in the player was created with ______ (name of program)?
