i/o magic IDVD16DD Not reading CD's

Hey guy's and gals. I have a problem that I can't seem to fix. Here are the details. I have a I/O Magic Internal DVD +/- RW/+/- 16x burner, model number IDVD16DD. I have had it for a little over a month now. Last week before I went on vacation I burned some CD's. Turned the comp off, when I got back, I turned the PC on, and tried to burn another CD. It wont read that there is a blank CD in there, also It won't read any CD's that I have. Blank or one's that are non burned ones. I have searched the forum, but with out any luck. I hear about having firmware updated, but I can't find out how. I think I have firmware G279. Any help whould be very helpful. Thanks.
