I have seen a lot of Liteon serial numbers quoted in various forums but there doesn't seem to be any clear explanation of what they mean. The serial number of my LVW 5005 is: 0102 1140 0098 B205. From what I have seen>

1). 0102 refers to the motherboard type.

2). 1180 refers to the DVD-RW drive model.

3). 0098 refers to the installed firmware version.

4). B205 ??????

Does anyone have any better information or corrections to the above?

Thanks
