Ok, after going through several guides, I may have found my problem. I see that most guides say to click on MODE and then select FILE.

Well, i used SCUBAPETE'S method, and he states to click on MODE and then ISO, then WRITE.

Is there any difference between these? Because when I follow SCUBA PETES guide it takes me hours. Thanx!

If it's a DVD5 (single-layer, smaller than 4.35 GB), then you could use Decrypter is ISO mode and read and burn the movie like that. Or if you're using dual-layer media with a DVD9 movie.

ISO is just an image file. It doesn't even have to be a DVD image. Most burning software should be able to work with ISO images.

Using Decrypter in File mode gives you the DVD "files", the IFO, BUP, and VOB files.

If I understand your post ... the difference is one is ripping, one is burning.

When using DVD Decrypter ... to rip:

Open DVD Decrypter -> click mode -> select File F (to rip a video_ts file) ... or select ISO Read R (to rip a ISO file)

When using DVD Decrypter ... to burn:

Open DVD Decrypter -> click mode -> ISO Write W (to burn an ISO file)

Now I kinda understand! Thanx for all the explanations! I was getting confused with ripping and compressing!

The ripping takes about 10 min, and the actual compressing to the Hard Drive takes about 25min, the actual burn takes about 13min.

How long does it take for you all to compress to your hard drive? Do my timings sound normal? thanx again!
