I currently have 2 computers that have 2 different dvd+rw writers. 1 writer is a _NEC DVD+RW ND1100A and the other writer is a PHILIPS DVD+RW-D28. A few months ago I had problems with Memorex blank media. The media would be useful in one writer but not the other. So now I try and stick with FujiFilm since it works in both players and the quality is very good but now and agian I like to try and save a few bucks and try a different media, for example: I purchased some TDK media that was on sale at Best Buy and it would not work in either writer and I thought that was really weird but none the less it happened and just this week I purchased some ESA blank dvd+rw media from cicuit city for 6.95 for a 25 pack and they would not work in either one of the writers either. So I would like to know what would help to correct this? I have heard ppl mention firmware upgrades. Could that help me? Or is that just to make my drive region free and stuff like that? I am just curious to what the meaning of all this is and the same answer I always get is "cheap media is your problem". Yet if you go to Circuit City's website and read the customer reviews on ESA blank dvd+rw media it is amazing. So if you have a reason other than what I already here PLEASE share with me! Thanks in advance!
