Was this after you burned it back to a dvd, or the actual files on your hard drive after ripping?

If it was after the burn, then you may have to reduce your file target size in dvdshrink to around 4300Mb, as players do have issues when it comes to playing data that has been burned to the outer circumferences on dvd's.

If it was on your hard drive after ripping, then this would point to corrupt data from the disc.

Try using DVD Decrypter instead.
There is a setting in there for read errors, when this is enabled you will be able to see where there are problems on the disc as they will be displayed.

Hope this helps.............
