Some internet connection will not work when running BT, help!

Whenever I download using BT or Azureus, my connection to the internet just stops working. I will also get no connection for a few other programs but I can still download or go on AIM. Why is this?

This is not a port problem because I tried forwarding to different ports but I think it might be a router problem. Is there an option in the router settings to fix this? thanks

I'm having the same problems... Azureus will run for anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours then I'll lose the internet connection entirely. It's baffling.
