does that help if I go into Port Forwarding and change it to that and what is it 53000 - What?




This one may sound stupid. But I only got broadband hooked up about 2 months ago and havnt got hard into downloading. I dont get 40% of what I should be getting on a good day when I download anything (including files that arnt P2P).

I think maybe the problem is that I am using just normal telephone cord from my modem to my wall-jack. Is this right or is that what the blue phone/ethernet cord is for?

Is it normal to use normal phone cord from the modem to the wall-jack?
