hi...
i have an amd athlon 2800+ on an asus a7n8x motherboard and i wanted to "overclock" my cpu. in "My Computer Properties" AMD Athlon - 1.20GHz. i know that you do it in Bios Chip Settings, but thats all i know. Could someone help me? here are my "Bios Chip Settings" (if you need them)*.

CPU External Freq. (MHz)- [100MHz]
CPU Frequency Multiple Setting - [Auto]
System Performance - [Optimal] (Aggresive, User Defined)
Memory Frequency - [By SPD]
Resulting Frequency - 200MHz
Memory Timings - Optimal
SDRAM Active Precharge Delay - 8
SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay - 4
SDRAM RAS Precharge Delay - 4
SDRAM CAS Latency - 3T
FSB Spread Spectrum - [Disabled]
AGP Spread Spectrum - [Disabled]
CPU VCore Setting - [Auto]
CPU VCore - 1.600V
Graphics Aperture Size - [128MB]

* not all settings only from very top to "Graphics Aperture Size"

if you don't know what you are doing than leave the overclocking alone as is easy to fry the cpu, motherboard or both. but if determined still than read the entire 2 threads about overclocking 1st
