HELP ME AUDIO SYNC PROBLEMS!!

Ive been recently converting dvd to vcd using inter video copy 3 which is very fast. then ive used ulead dvd workshop to author 3 vcd quality movies on to 1 dvd disk. the quality is very good,but after a bout 1 hour the audio start to get out of sync with the picture. ive checked the mpeg files on my computer and they are fine so i suspect its down to the ulead dvd workshop, when it converts the audio from 44khz to 48khz, so instead of using inter video to convert the files i used dvd pro which can compress to vcd but leaves the audio at 48khz but this actually made the problem worse can anybody help me, my end result is to have multiple films on 1 dvd disk many thanks mr D c wood
