I am backing up the first season of Sex and the City, which is 2 DVD-9 discs. Each disc has 6 episodes on it, each of which is one chapter. I used IfoEdit to strip just the main movie and audio stream and then split each one so I end up with 4 episodes to a DVD-R. I used VobEdit to join the last 2 episodes from the first disc and the first 2 episodes from the second disc and then used Ifoedit to create IFO files for that disc. The problem is that I end up with 2 extra chapters. One starts a few seconds into the second episode and the other starts a few seconds into the fourth episode. The time counter also goes back to 25:00 (which is where Chapter 2 starts) when Chapter 4 (the beginning of episode 3) starts.
