I swear! Some of you may recognize my user name from the Emerson thread ... we had all kinds of problems hooking up the unit *so we thought because we could only tape in black & white* then we had to wait for the firmware update blah blah blah ... ended up returning the Emerson today and received store credit so the only option in the price range we could budget for was a Sanyo DRW-500. Brought it home and hubby spent the better part of 3 hours reading the manual and trying to hook up this unit! Sanyo technical support is not open 24/7 and I am so frustrated I am ready to throw everything electronic out the window LOL
We are trying to hook up the Sanyo DRW-500 to our Toshiba big screen TV, through our local cablevision (Motorola brand dual tuner dvr/hdtv capable) DVR / digital cable box.
Currently hubby has the following connection:
av out from tv to av in on dvd recorder along with coaxial out from the tv to in on the dvd.
The DVD recorder is only receiving static and will not record anything. Any advice? Thanks in advance
