Azureus 2.3 problem

Just updated to 2.3 and whenver I try to open Azureus it would load then automatically close. I thought I had to update java so I did that and it still doesn't open. So I uninstalled Azureus and installed a fresh copy but it still automatically close when I try to open it. So now I'm using version 2.2 and it works fine but was wondering if anyone experienced this same problem.

Same as sugarface above, I found this thread via google since I've been having the same problem ever since 2.3.0.0 has been released. Upgrading to JRE 1.5 hasn't done anything. Currently running 2.1.0.4 until I can get this figured out. The exe launches, doesn't display anything (no splash, no window, no dialog, nada) and then closes straight away. The only way to know that it's opened at all is through taskmgr. No idea at all what's up with this.

Had the problem of Azureus not starting a while back - nothing would fix it. Until...

I delete/hid the following folder and all its contents:

C:\Documents and Settings\InsertUserNameHere\Application Data\Azureus

Next time i ran Azureus the config wizard came up, and it all worked fine after that. So long as you don't care abou losing your lists of torrents, this works pretty well. If your your .torrent files and the actual downloads aren't stored under the folder above, then you don't lose anything - just re-open the torrents in Azureus once it's open and you'll pretty much be back to normal.

I tried that and the wizard came up then when I closed Azureus it wouldn't start again.

I deleted the folder a second time and started Azureus. Worked. Closed it. Reopened. Worked.
