I have a Sony DRU 700a and using Nero 6.6 (latest version). I'm trying to backup some data on to a DVD (Verbatim DVD+R 8x). I've added my files and when I click on "burn" the software checks the media before burning. A dialog box pops up and says

Disc required for complication: DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW,DVD+R DL
Disc type in the recorder: DVD+R

I"m confused, the disc in the drive is one of the ones supported, but I can't get past this box and can't burn anymore.

Anyone have this issue and get around it?

i assume that when you press enter for that popup box that the pc turns it's nose up at the media and ejects it ?. don't suppose there's anything in the Nero log ? - c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log or similar. Have a look in there, maybe post a relevant section of log, but make sure not to post your serial number, usually beginning with '1A21' or similar.
