You would have to extract the .iso and delete about 1 gb of files in order to make it fit (not recommended). Try burning on a DL disc.

If you have a look at the GT4 thread on the PS2 forums, you will notice that you can't shrink it. There are some patches to make the game work on a DL disc, but I think you have to have the right modchip to do that.

DVD Shrink will not work at all with video games.

u cant make a copy of gt 4, yet, unless u have a specific mod chip, so if ur using swap magic ur outta luck. check out the official gt4 thread in ps2 dvd backup forum if u got the right chip. might wanna read the whole thing lol its like 50+ pages now.

there is a way to do it without a mod chip...but you have to have at least swap magic or equivilant...and it is burned to a DVD-5...(granted it is only 88%, but playable...arcade mode has been erased off of it)...back it up like you would a normal ps2 game...(CAUTION: THIS GAME ONLY HAS ABOUT 75%-90% SUCCESS RATE...but mostly it has to do with the speed that you are writing at)....all of these are with DVD Decrypter on default settings except for when marked to be changed
1)Open DVD Decrypter...click on "Tools" go to "settings" and make the following corrections:
a)open the tab marked "ISO Write Mode" and UNCHECK "Enable Burn-Proof" and "Lock Volume-Exclusive Access"
b)open the tab marked "CSS" and CHECK "Detect Mastering Errors" and "Force VOB CSS Flag Removal"
2)Then while DVD Decrypter is open Click on "Mode" and then ISO then Read and begin reading....
3)Once the disc is done reading you should have an iso made...(VERY IMPORTANT: WRITE ONLY AT 1X OR AT THE FASTEST 2x)Click on Mode and then ISO then Writeand begin writing you will then get an error stating something to fact that there is not enough space on the disk and asking if you would like to go ahead...click YES...at this point the iso will begin to write on your disc...the writing will only get to between 83%-88% and an error will pop up stating that it has (i think this is right "invalid address" just click YES and the disc will begin to finalize....
4)After completion you should have a working gt4 backup...

there have been problems brought up to the fact that it will get to the loading screen after the intro movie and the loading speed dial will turn red...there is a quick fix to this matter...reset your ps2 load the original disc into the ps2 and begin playing...at this point while game is still playing remove the original and replace with the backup and begin playing....save to a file on your memory card...now turn your ps2 off and load up your swap magic disc and put in your back up and begin playing or if you have a mod chip begin playing with your backup as normal...good luck
