Green Screen and poor playback!!??

When playing most recently downloaded xvid and divx files I am getting a green screen when first loaded through real one player and then the video playback is very poor but sound is fine. None of the files will play through divx player. I have tried the latest nimo codec pack but it is still the same. Has anyone had the same problem or has anyone got any ideas. Please Help! have you tried wmp? what version of divx, 5? If all fails uninstall video, reboot, install video and reboot.

Thx for the reply to my thread. I have solved it now by installing ffdshow-20020607.exe from the digital digest site and all the films work fine now :) Heres the link to the file if anyone is looking at this thread with the same problem http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=53761&release_id=113671
