@herrick
The 250mm are quiet...probably more quiet then 120mm...the higher RPM of a 120mm will generate more air pressure then the 250mm so if purpose is to wash motherboard with air 120mm might be way to go and cheaper...
Were is location of hole...on 120mm door...that you have?..
The 250mm door will allow more noise to escape case...due to hole size...
I always prefer 120mm fans...on controllers to control noise on case's...
120mm fans deliver best airflow...to DB...to volume of air...with most pressure of any size fans...

here is something i dont understand. dell sell an XPS desktop (The latest gaming one) with 4 gigs of ram, dual layer dvd rewriter ,2 500gb hdd at 7200RPM, a dual core proccesor which is 3.4GHz, a 512mb graphics card, and an nvidia sound card. it costs £5000. i saw a used dell server PC with 8GB ram, 4X proccesors that are 2.4GHz each, a good sound card, a 512MB graphics card, 3X 146GB HDD's, and a dual layer dvd rewriter. for £1000 with postage. why not just get the server? i mean its big, but not much bigger than that big fat XPS!

Dang herrick you building a refrigeration unit or a computer. lol. Man are you still having serious heating problems? If you need them I guess they would help, they look impressive. I really don't know but I had to ask what your doing to need something like a RAM cooler?
Have you gotten with Lp531 or Mort81 to look into your over-heating problem? Just curious. Hope you get things worked out. :)

With most ram...if you remove the heat sinks...you are voiding the lifetime warranty...I doubt if you need anything like those monsters...
The 250mm fan that your putting on the door should take care of your memory cooling just fine...
