DVD Recorder and DVR from time Warner Connections

I have DVR from Time Warner Cable . Recently I bought Panasonic ES10 DVD recorder which I connect to home Theater. I can record recorded programs from DVR perfectly , but If I want to record live TV program on DVD+R, I can not do it. There is no VCR in home theater system. Even time warnercan not help. Any suggestions.

the only solution I can come up with is to hook up your cable box to a capture card on your computer. I have done this before and it does work.

With an S-video Y-adapter you should be able to shoot your signal out of cable box to tv and dvd recorder. Or maybe it's this little box that will do the trick http://www.videoguys.com/sima.htm . I'm a little unclear on exactly what your setup is like.
