I'm running a dual athalon system under win2k I've just started having troubles with my .torrent files.

They will start and go for a few minutes then my system will freeze and require a hard reboot. I've used BT and bittornado for a long time now and never had problems like this before. I thought maybe I have a bad drive that causes problems w/ bittornado when it writes the file so I've changed target drives and still no luck. Then i uninstalled and reinstalled bittornado with the most current version. Still no worky... One thing that surprised me was that uninstalling and reinstalling didn't change my prefs I tweaked (ie. ports to 6881-6999, max peers 40 etc...) Maybe it didn't really get rid of the corrupted bittornado?

I don't know... I'll start pulling drives out that might be bad.

Any other suggestions? perhaps I'll try another client and see if that works.
