fans, heat problems, help

Hey guys, my computers been running pretty darn hot while I play Halo or Battlefield Vietnam. I have a Celeron D 330, FX 5500 graphix card. I got the usual powersupply fan, cpe fan and system fan at the back. I also added one sitting at the bottem blowing directly onto my graphix card. Whenever I run those games the cpu temp goes up to around 60C, it even popped 65C before. Anyone got any suggestions? Should my fans be blowing in or out? Any help is appreciated :p

have a fan in the front of case bringing air in so that the psu fan & case fan on the back is blowing hot air out. relay your flat cables or get round cables for better air flow

intake fans in the front, and coolers for memory and video card, should decrease heat dramtically from where it is now....

yeah, i was thinking of that but theres no fan slot in the front, and there's no hole or anything.

There are many types of fans today and most run at different speeds with different CFM specs. You might also try and find a large rear case fan with a higher CFM to pull more fresh air from the front or sides of your case and out the back. I just had a temp gain on my CPU and thought that the CPU fan was acting up, spinning from it's normal 2700 RPM up to 5000 on occasion, and it turned out to be my rear exhaust fan was going bad and slowing down on occasion.
One other suggestion is look to a new setup I have seen recently, when there is ductwork running from your case wall directly to your CPU, allowing the CPU fan to only bring in fresh cooler air from outside your case. I haven?t tried this yet, but a very interesting idea.

yes, there are holes in the metal work but only on the side panal to the bottem, the front as nothing and the top is completely sealed.
ductwork? explain?

like a heating duct in forced air furnaces. could do is to drill as many holes as as the system fan at the back of case if mounted on the case & not in a slot.

i agree with scubabud's airduct. but how is your system zone temps. do they also overheat...cuz if thats the case and you dont have precut holes...a drill with a big drill bit will do nicely in the front of the case for a fan.

ooo, like adding a tube that directly connects the cpu fan with the outside? but my case isn't big enough for that i think, and drilling a whole in the front doesn't sound very appealing to me eaither...but thanks for the help guys, afterdawns great :p

if your gonna build a new one in a year, then y not just buy a case now, that has suitable amount of places to mount fans, and then build off that case in the next year....
