To get started, I'm using a no solder mod chip with swap magic 2.0. I recently started having problems burning games. I tried to burn Max Payne and it works for the 3 begining screens, then the laser makes a lot of noise and the red "please insert a PS2 Game" screen comes on. I also had a problem with star wars battlefronts. The entire game works, but sound doesnt after a certain point in the game. All these games are NTSC and I am in an NTSC region. And I have burned at the lowest speed possible. Can anyone tell my what could have recently affected my computer thats preventing me from playing back ups? I appreciate anyones help on this prob, thanks in advance.

PS I am using Alcohol 120% to burn games, and have tried other programs with the same result.

Need more information.
Could be the media you are using, could be that your DVD burner's firmware needs to be updated
Do your originals still work fine?
Do you have other back up games that work fine?
Have you thought about upgrading to a newer Swap Magic since there has been two newer versions since 2.0?
Have you tried DVD Decrypter (the latest version)
If you have Nero have you tried rebuilding the ISO to see if that helps any? (there were a lot of posts saying that Star Wars Battlefront had to be rebuilt, although i do not remember having to do that when i copied it. Could just be for 2.0 users)
Have you tried burning your discs at 4X (always works for me)?

Sorry for all the questions but with so little information it is hard to tell what the problem may be.

I have never updated my DVDRW Drives Firmware, how do I do that? All of my originals still work fine, all my backup games work flawlessly, I have tried DVD Decrypter and Nero and I have thought about upgrading my Swap Magic discs, and I've always burnt my discs at 4x also. I did a search for my DVDRW drive firmware, but couldnt find anything. Anyone know a good place to look?

PS the Drive is: "Philips DVD+RW DVD8601"

firmware has nothing to do with it. I told you, you need cd loader for that game.
