LG 4163B burning problems! Reset error in Nero!

Hi all,

I bought this burner a few days ago and it worked fine - i burned my verbatim 16x discs on it with no problems at all for the first few days. Now all of a sudden, it gives me this reset error in Nero.

1. I have tried other media and i get the same error
2. It is connected via USB 2.0 and is in an external enclosure

I have a Sony Vaio laptop with a built in DVDRW drive but what i don't understand is how it can work and then off of a sudden stop???
I have'nt installed any new software either in the past few days...

Anyone got any ideas???

Please help!
