I have coppied a movie to hd. When decrypter opens up I am getting a error message that is saying, I/O device error. Its not a dirty disk. Are there any setting that might have been changed? OR?

we may need more info. You seem to be saying the movie is on the hard drive, and it's from there you're having a problem. What movie is it ?.

have a quick look here and see if it's the same sort of thing you're seeing.. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=dvd+decrypter+i%2...

so you already have the movie on the hard drive and then you get this error when trying to burn? Or do you get this error when trying to rip the movie onto your hard drive?

Yeah I can tell I will be getting some good help. This info is coming second hand from my mom. That why its taking me so long to reply. Its all movies, And no its not on hd . Its during the rip process, In shrinh and using her X- COPY. So its every program every movie every time. Could it be something running in the back ground? Thank You

Are you using DVD Decrypter 3.5.4? If not, that's the latest version you should get, that might solve your problems.

Do you have Nero, Roxio, or RecordNow installed on your computer? If so there might be packet writing software as well, which might be causing these problems. Nero comes with InCD, Roxio comes with Drag to Disc, and RecordNow comes with DLA. I'd recommend uninstalling this packet writing software if it's on the computer.

Yes, I did install Nero. What is in CD on Nero? Thank You. This is when the problem started. I never thought about that.

it's what squizzle said - packet writing software interferes so get rid....
