Hi,
Does anyone know if there are problems using the Nvidia IDE driver and Nero?
Nero insists that all my drives are running with DMA: OFF, though the Nvidia tab in device manager says that all are using UDMA
this is driving me nuts. Please help.
cheers, Jon.

Cougar: okay, okay - so I X-posted! :)
Just wanted to bring it to people's attention. As for the BIOS - nope, that's not the answer, it's DMA all the way.
I just think it's a bit strange, that I get given this lame excuse from Nero, but no-one else seems to have come across this problem????
Cheers, Jon.

yeah I remember those times - when Dinosaurs ruled the earth ;)
Actually I was surprised that the BIOS doesn't have an option to select
the DMA/PIO mode on a per channel basis.
So anyway, I followed Nero tech support's advice and uninstalled Nvidia's IDE driver, the Intel driver reappears, and everything is set to DMA. And still nothing works - I am begining to suspect that this could be a duff DVD? Grrr.
Adios, Jon.
