the Elite Torrents network are under investigation
for criminal copyright infringement

It is unlawful to reproduce or distribute copyrighted material, such as movies, music,
software or games, without authorization - even when done for free over the Internet.
Individuals who willfully distribute or download copyrighted material risk criminal
prosecution under 18 U.S.C. 2319. First-time offenders convicted of criminal felony
copyright laws will face up to five years in federal prison, restitution, forfeiture and a fine.

Those US laws on piracy are a lot of f*****g b******t!
The Punishment SHOULD should fit the Crime!

Facing upto 10 years in prison for recording a movie in the cinema is just PLAIN WRONG.
Lucky Im in the UK and US law don't apply here :P

i agree completely. u see the problem is the maket is full of so much s**t today eg. the newest m&m album only had 2 mabey 3 good songs. now should i go out and spen $20 on a cd with 3 songs i like my answer is no. same goes for the movie industry, so many s**ty movies out there why go and spend $30 on a dvd to find out it is crap. to be quiet honest if i realy like and respect a movie, cd, vid game i will go and buy it after i have d/loaded it. needless to say it is a rare thing :-). Personaly and i don't know if u all agree with me, but do i feel sorry for an industy that grosses billions every year when we are struggling to stay alive.....no. eg. star wars episode III grossed $50 million dolars in the US on day one. now come on if i could make 1/100,000 of that in a day i would be stoked. so the big rich movie stars, singers, software companies can cry all they like but do i have any remource good lord no. in conclusion the MPAAA is a group of greedy, whiny, people who have nothing better to do(since they don't have to really work for a living) than complain about the average joe d/loading a movie. The kicker is when the music industy was cry when cd burners came out where were they no where to be found, but all of a sudden when the dvd burner arived they are all up in arms say the stand beside the music artist. It does not take a person that much intellect to figure out the care only for themselfs.

however this is just me ranting and raving at 1:30 in the morning
