Can't get a torrent to play. Help please.

I am fairly new to all this, but have managed to d/l a few shows and play them. However, I have d/l one that will not play like the others. Can someone help me? I don't know what info you will need, so just let me know (please explain what it is simply)and I'll see if I can find it. Thanks, Rynn

I don't understand but I think you mean a .torrent is not connecting?

It is all to do with Trackers, Peers and Seeds.

The tracker is the server which the file is being ran with the Peers (people connected to the tracker) are downloading and uploading the file.

The Seeds are the people who have the complete file and are sharing it to the leechers (people who don't yet have the complete file).
So my guess is the .torrent is old and abandoned.
Try another site or using another P2P method.

No, I have it d/led, but when I right click and click play, WMP opens and says that "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." But I can't see any difference in that .torrent and another that WMP will play.

I did notice on the d/l site the link has XviD-LOL. Does that mean anything? I haven't noticed it on my others. They usually just have the season and episode number.
