So I haven't been able to get my Sony drive working again - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/192526 - on my XP PC. I'm thinking of reinstalling the OS on the PC but I have the OS on CD. I'm going to try to use a different CD-ROM and see if the system recognizes it first, but my question is this:

I also have a laptop that has a CD burner on it and there are files on my PC that I want to save. Is there any way to network the two together so that I can use the burner on the laptop? I have XP Pro on my PC and the laptop has XP Home on it. I know there is a way to do this but have no idea how to do it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
