Hello I use Ridata DVD+R 16x discs and for some reason now when i burn a backed up movie, ie starwars ep 4 a new hope, alien v pred, the audio seems to be about one second behind the video, which is very strange, it seems to happen in one dvd player but not in my little portable, could this be the disk? I was under the impression that ridata discs were good quality, I haven't had any problems with them before, maybe it could be the burner? I use a BenQ Beige IDE DVD Burner Model DW1610 - Retail.

Also, I use DVD Decrypter and dvdshrink, then Nero to burn.

Is the player that it has trouble in very old?

If so you may find that a firware update (if available) may help it.

I had an old Lecson that this happened to, and a firmware update solved it......................

I have also had other players that were a lot older that I couldn't cure it, and I just ruled it down to the age/construction etc.......

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down

this question occassionally comes up on various forums.

It has nothing to do with DvdDecrypter or DVDshrink or Nero. They don't do anything that could send the audio out of synch even if you were using the oldest versions of either

When this question does come on on forums we invariably find one of two things:

1) the user has an old dvd player with a age deveoped hardware problem or a obsolete firmware problem.

This is most definately your case (hence baabaa's suggestion) as you have reported in your original question that the dvd plays fine on one dvd player and not an other.

2) the user has downloaded or has got a physical copy that has been demuxed, possible through analog capture, torretns, etc.
