I have been using DVDXCopy and DVDXpress for nearly 2 years without problems for backing up my DVD collection. A few months ago, i started getting error messages with Xpress, something about CSS encryption and I can't figure out how to get around that, So I resorted to using DVDXCopy and most of the time having to use 2 disks to make the copy. My problem now is that I'm getting an error message with it now. I put the movie in the drive, it does the copying to the hard drive and when I put in the blank DVD-r or +r, it loads up and runs the buffering and all that but then I get the following error message..."write operation was not successful, Positioning error(dvd recorder could not seek to requested location) Drive error code = 02030200h Disk not successfully recorded. Positioning (seek) error." end of error message....I have no idea what this means. I have done a firm ware update..but am still have the problem. if anyone has any idea about how to get rid of these error messages so that I will be able to continue to back up my collection, please help with suggestions, it would be greating appreciated.

DVDXCOPY and DVDXpress are both out of date for the latest encryptions,
it may be a good idea to try-out Slysofts AnyDVD for a three week free trial.
This program runs in the background and should solve the problems, you've outlined.

[edit] use the edit option top right of your post and remove you email address site policy, and you'll also get spammed...

you don't need any dvd which is a paid program.
yourproblem will be solved with dvd decrypter (click the link below)

Hi, sweetlani

If you want to use Xcopy to burn then as Gringle states, try the trial of AnyDVD with the program to burn. You can also use the free program DVDDecrypter as S2K states, but you will need free program DVDShrink to go with it to encode and compress your file after ripping. The programs and guides are available here

With these two programs you do not have to worry about putting it on two disks. Try them and see if you still get errors.
