I am a current user of DVD X Copy Platinum and I am looking for a new piece of software that can backup copyrighted DVD's. I would like to be able to compress to one 4.7 disc (or back up to a dual layer disc). I would like for the software to come with a help manual and 24 hour telephone help. DVD X Copy does a pitful job of splitting a disc onto two discs and I am looking for a replacement piece of software. Any suggestions?

DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter is the way to go, plus they're both "FREE" - yes... they're free and they both back up movies flawlessly. DVD Decrypter can easily do the job of "cracking protection codes." DVD Shrink will shrink and encode any DVD9 movie to fit a single DVD5 disc (DVD-/+R) -- once you're done with DVD Shrink encoding, then burn your movie with DVD Decrypter. In addition, DVD Decrypter can easily back up any DVD9 into a DVD9 (DL blank media) without any issue. That's it, simple as that.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

24 hour telephone help is not needed with these two programs. They really are easy to use. There are lots of guides and help is always available here at Afterdawn.

If you have to ask this question ... then you need to be posting in DVD-R for Newbies.
