For splitting a movie I use AnyDVD and CloneDVD from slysoft, it allows you to split your movie and preserve the menu. You can also use it to split episodic disks and preserve the menu on both disks. You can try the trial versions for 21 days, and the quality is very good. Here is a guide that will explain the process.

you could always try DVD Rebuilder ...

i use it for high compression with 3 or 4 passes are the quality is great, even at high compression.

Thanks for the tips.

I tried using CDVD 2 and the dvd player doesn't read it. The dvd I have has 2 vols to it and I want to split those volumes into 2 seperate dvds.
Any other way.

did you use Clone to burn as well, or just compress?

Usually discs not being able to be read by a player are result of media quality or burning at too high a speed (most stay 4x or less).

I am using CloneDVD to burn the movie. Burning at max. I will try at 4x.
