Is there a way to edit a DVD's picture, meaning to cut off a portion of the picture out. For example, suppose there was a dvd video with numbers counting on the top of the screen, is there a way to cut out the portion where the numbers appear? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the numbers were put on the dvd similar to subtitles then you should be able to remove them if you can locate the right stream. If its actually part of the main video then you would be removing the main video also. It all depends on how the part you want to remove is actually embedded into the dvd.

Well, I have no idea where you got Star Wars III from, but the video file I was referring to was taken from a camcorder with the counter and time and date on top of the screen. I was looking for help, not some idiotic suggestion with stupid assumptions. Thanks.

actually it was taken by a regular camcorder vhs and then converted into dvd video. I don't think its possible to take the numbers off, so i was thinking that maybe i could just cut our the top part of the picture...if there was a way.

Well ok then, the way you worded your question giving no details and playing very loose seemed like you were fishing. Given the way you spoke about a camcorder its impossible to remove the counters as they are part of the video. Even americas funniest home videos can only blur out counters and other graphics on their video clips. Your doomed
