Winamp media file so as to get better audio quality?
Would using Streambox to download make any difference at all?

You can't improve the sound quality. You have 32kb of info per second. That is all you'll ever have.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
