There is no direct linking to piracy, and as per the new forums rules, discussing piracy is allowed. Also linking to websites with torrents and ed2k links is allowed. Check your rules before you go on a vigilante mission

They are rar files. I have WinRAR. And when i extract them....they all have iso's in them!

I've downloaded a few just to see if they are all like that and from the three that i've downloaded, all have 16-21 parts to them and all of them have iso's in the rar files too!

I'm kinda at a loose end now! One of the games i downloaded had a couple of pictures with it. It was desktop captures of Hex Workshop but with no instructions as to what to do in hex workshop (which i also have).

Any 'gestions?

when you have a bunch of rar files for 1 game, you should only extract ONE rar file,
not them all,as they will all give you the same thing

i guess you have a bunch of rar files that look like a bunch of books strapped together, and are numbered like 001,002,003....0048 etc...

just right click on the first rar and extract that one,and just that one
leave the others alone

this will give you an ISO,which you can burn onto DVD,

you use dvd decrypter MODE>ISO>WRITE

i dont need you to quote me on the rules, thank you,and if you read them properly, you would know what you are talking about
you have posted 4 paragraphs in this thread, and not one of them are constructive....do you know the answer to the problem?

no offence, but you are not exactly helping with the problem are you

:))

the rules have changed some what recently.....maybe you didnt know...!!

Case: Discussion about pirated content and piracy, such as converting (downloaded) video and/or audio files to DVD/AudioCD/whatever format. PERMITTED

Case: Discussion about copy protection circumvention in general (extracting encrypted content, such as DVD movies, compact discs, copy protected console and computer software, using existing software). PERMITTED

Case: Links to sites offering possibly pirated content (including torrent files and ed2k links). PERMITTED

no offence intended,

you need to either help people or just read the post rather than posting in them.

Not one post with any use at all. Just taking up space. You need to start your brain and stop your fingers a little more often. If you are not even trying to help, don't bother posting!

Hursty, there is no need to appologize and say no offense to someone like this. You know we got your back.

To yzzerdd Please keep your opinions to yourself....you have not been helpful in the slightest and your input is not appreciated.

to hursty Thank you very much for your comments.. i have extracted just the first one and burned it to disc using dvd decryptor and tried it in my ps2 but it didn't work. Now before we get into a full debate on what media to use, the media is fine. I have always used ritek discs and NEVER had any problems at all. My burner is incapable of writing at 1x so i had to write it at x2. My burner is a dual layer burner, cant remember the exact model but it is practically brand new and can write at 16x although my media is only 4x.

I only tried one of the games so i'll go and try repeating this on the others.. By the way the site i got them from was 'fulldls'

This is all new to me (burning d/l games) but i do specialise in other areas which i wont get into. But please be aware that i am not some wee guy that has just bought a computer and jumping feet first into burning without the first clue in what i'm talking about.

Once again many thanks hursty.

there are many issues/answers for which the game may not be working

the first step is normally the media, but seeing as you think its fine,
then lets move on

firstly, what type of media is it,...dvd-r or dvd+r?

secondly, what mod device are you using,...modchip or swapmagic or other?

thirdly,what game is it??

and lastly for now,you said the speed was x2,i dont think this is an issue now,but i never burn at x 2,i stick to x 4,and have got over 500 games to prove, but thats a difference issue

these ritek's....are they GO4'S,??,and have you burned movies on them?,
if so,do they play on the ps2?,if you havent tried, nows the time to test one

I have successfully copied loads using the ritek disk which is dvd-r and i am using a modchip - messiah 2 fitted by myself. That works 100% and i am confident when i say i dont think its anything to do with that. All my other copies are still playing fine.

I just thought that if i stuck to the slowest speed possible that it would be better but i'll try at 4x.

Also i don't know what you mean by G04 but i have burned films and they do work on the ps2 if that answers the question.

Do they need to be patched?? The games are Motocross Mania 3, TT Superbikes and Moto GP4.

i also have a messiah 2,and you do not need to patch any of these games,as you have a modchip.no patching required

post the TOC'S so i can check them against mine,
although i dont think i have tt superbikes

GO4 is whem i refer to the ID CODE of the dvd disk, just because it says ritek, doesnt mean they are any good

download this and see,if you have the code GO2 or GO5, the answer might be right there,GO2 is the worst offender,GO5 are usually ok
and i think we are going off track with the media issue anyways

http://dvdidentifier.cdfreaks.com

the TOC of motocross mania is 4.37 GB

the TOC of MOTO GP 4 is 4.15 GB

I changed the speed setting from 2x to 4x. And really thats all i done. I've tried the TT Bikes one again and still cant get it to go...but the other two went first time! The TT one was the one i tried the very first time and i'm now thinking that there is a problem with the files themselves. Maybe it hasn't been ripped right or summit. So that through us all a bit i think. But when i tried the other games (MotoGP4 and Motocross Mania 3) using the exact method that you said, hursty, both of them went first time.

So i now know what to do and it's all thanks to you mate!!!

alright here we go :
-i guess youve got WinRAR files like .001,.002....0040 etc.all with a bit of an iso file in each.
-select all the WinRAR files, right click, select 'extract files',hit enter.
-it should now extract all the rar files to one folder.adding each bit of the iso's together.
-open the folder and your complete iso should be in there
-burn using Alcohol 120 (thats what i use) and as slow as you can. about 2x seems okay to me.

hope that helps..

ps.if anyone can help me...does anyone know the actual burn settings needed for a playstation 2 game...

info needed if poss :
track format, block size, image header size and image trailer size..thanx

see y'all

with downloaded games you tend to just unrar the first one, not all of them, just the first

and as for your burn settings why do you need those?

just use dvd decrypter

you will need a mod on your ps2 to read the backup discs though
