I am currently transfering some HD avi files I downloaded from a well known p2p service to dvd. Up till now I've been able to get three avi's per dvd using LP bitrate on NVE3. The final four however will require an EP bitrate. I have a regular 27" TV, should I notice any real change in picture quality?

you might notice some pixelization if the compression is set too low. You can try the "custom" setting and compress the size to a bitrate closer to LP where it won't be as noticeable.
