if i rip with dvd with decrypter then compress with rempeg then run that though ifoedit then nero , will that work??? it works now without compressing.

Yes that will work just fine.

I'm guessing you'll only be doing this if the DVD is to big to fit on a DVD-R ?

I've just done that with Minority Report, using repeg at 70% (4.3Gb divided by 6.2Gb) but it came out a bit blocky (pixels).
