Having probelms playing DVD on certain DVD players.

I've got a Lite-On DVDRW SOHW 1633S. Also got most of the lastest DVD burner software. But most of the DVD"s i burn don't play on others DVD players but it plays on mine. Could someone please give me some info. or could help me correct what i"m doing wrong. I'm using DVD+R DVD's.

What brand of media are you using? Better yet download DVD Identifier to see who manufactuers your discs

You may want to book type your dvd+rs to dvd-roms to make them more compliant with dvd players. You can get it from Lite-On here

Yes booktype your DVD+R to DVD-ROM or try using the DVD dash R instead and see if that works better and use good quality media as in TY,Verbatium or Ritek and burn at 4X max.

The Sony 550 & up series dvd stand alone players will play anything I burn. I have four of them. They specificaly advertise what they will play. I have Sony, Pioneer, and Pacific Digital burners, and use them all, because one will burn different media, that the next one will not. The player cost about 70.00. Could solve all your problems.
