How do I go about doing this I have ripped a copied cd using Windows media player 10 to the library. At this time they are in wma format, How can I convert them into MP3 format Please?
Why did you rip them in wma format if you wanted mp3.
You should have set it to mp3 if that is what you wanted. Converting would just cause them to lose quality.
Of course many on this forum would wonder why you are using Windows Media Player to rip, when there are many better options.
You can convert them to MP3 files by doing this:
Copy the file to a Cd and then copy the Cd back to your library. This will copy them as mp3 files.

LOL yes veblin is most definately right, please don't use WMP to rip your music. As he suggested, give EAC (exact audio copy) a try. It it hands down the best ripper there is, and when combined with the LAME encoder plugin using VBR (variable bitrate) the net result will be the highest quality mp3s possible.
We also have a step by step guide here on how to install, setup, and use EAC.
also EAC is free, so you can't beat that. $40 for that seems pretty steep. For basic users I guess an all-in-one app like that might be okay, but if it were me I'd stick with a better name brand like Sound Forge or Adobe Audition. But me personally I just stick with Pro Tools, there's nothing that tops that.
