I reinstalled the latest NVidia NForce drivers and guess what? DVD Shrink is working again. This is so weird. I really dont think one has anything to do with the other because it has worked with the drivers, and then not worked with the drivers. Maybe I'm holding my mouth wrong. LOL

Ok, now I have it working. lol@all my post's. I went into the Device Manager and set the DMA setting to "DMA 0" instead of Ultra DMA 2. Im not sure what the difference is between all the DMA's but its working with DMA 0. Anyone know the difference between DMA settings? I think it has to do with speed transfer differences but Im not sure. Im just glad its working.

I decided that DMA 0 wasnt cutting it. It was working but I don't like having to turn my settings down. I read somewhere that the Pioneer 108 like's to be on its own 80 pin IDE cable set as Master with nothing else on that IDE channel. So I did that and guess what? I can set the DMA all the way back up and it works perfectly. 7 ISO Burns in a row plus 3 Data DVD's (which I couldnt ever burn at all until now).No coasters! If it screws up again Ill let everyone know. Other than that, everything seems to be ok now. Sorry for all my post's but I was trying to figure it out.

I recently started to get some errors while burning DVDs. I had been using the system for over a year without any hardware changes, and I could not figure out why it was suddenly not working correctly. After some investigation I learned that my secondary IDE channel was not installed and would not install after many reboots, attempted workarounds, etc. I kept getting the "driver not intended for this platform" message.

The solution was very, very simple. I uninstalled Alcohol 120 and everything works perfectly now. It must be an issue with Alcohol 120, at least it was for me.
