BBMAYO, I used your process and I can now play my DVDs in even my old player. Great! Thank you!
I now have another problem. I have about 300 mpeg 1 movies that I would like to convert to straight DVD; is there any freeware programs and guides out there telling me how to do this?
Also, I still have many VHS's in boxs of some older movies that are real classics that I do not want to loose.
I downloaded 'FLASKMPEG' but I am unsure how to use it and what it will convert my files too.

camstuf, Thank You

Scuter,
The easiest proggy for what you want to do would be NeroVisionExpress. It's not free but you can try it for 30 days to see if you like it. Remember to download the package number 2 from Nero's site it has the proggy you need Nero Vision Express. There are other proggys out there, but this would be the easiest and will let you add menus and stuff. If you don't want the menus or anything then you could go with a proggy called WinAVI. Good Luck :-)

To BBMAYO,
Hows things over where your at?
On the subject of mpeg to DVD, I downloaded DVD Santa and tried it and it's as about as simple as you could get. I just reload the mpeg file from the disk to a folder, (I couldn't get it do load from the drive)the load it to DVD Santa from the desktop folder and select a second folder on my desktop I created for the same purpose, click run,and it does it's thing. Creating all files to burn a DVD with Nero Express.
It's free to use as long as I do not mind the DVD Santa add for the first minute or so of the movie.
Take care over there in Iraq, keep your head down, may you come home saftly to your family.
