darkturbo,
I am not a dvdxcopy platinum owner only dvdxcopy xpress so I can't really help but I would do a google search for dvdxcopy platinum guides. There used to be a studio 321 forum that would have a guide.

about the disney movies and xcopy.........i tried backing up pirates of the carribean but i received errors during the read process. may be because it was too large or because disney doesnt like us copying something we own. i ended up using shrink.

I have used dvdx platinum for a while now. I only have had problems with 2 or 3 (ive backed-up about 60) movies so far. Here is my input one the situation. Get dvdx along with DVD Shrink and decryptor <--(free) and just use dvdx but if you have any problems just use the other two. With my new pc I can rip and burn a movie in about 30 min. with dvdx. It takes about 4x as long <--(about 2 hrs.) with the combination of the other two. If your are having general problems with dvdx like it wont run or it stops burning half way through try a good old fashion reinstall. To boob....I havd a backup of pirates of the carribean and I used dvdx to get it. So you might wanna consider a reinstall or something. Other than that I dont know why it didnt work for you.

ok you guys are awsome... now here's my issue.
DVDXCopy wouldn't burn "Spanglish" (apparently new encryption.)
So I used DVD Decrypter to put it on my hard drive.
But now how do I get it off the hard drive and onto a disk?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I told you check out the guide at my site the first one and it will all clear up for you.
Basically...
1. Rip to hard drive w/Decrypter. You already did this
2. Run the files through Shrink to make the movie fit on one DVD5 disk and save as an ISO
3. Burn to DVD with Decrypter

jumpman23,
AnyDVD doesn't work for everybody. I have XCopy Platinum installed in my second PC. The drives are Sony DDU 1612 and NEC 2510 and it wouldn't work.
Even Ireland (XCopy Chief Mod) didn't have a solution for it ... but it did work for Vedas830 (aD member).

well yea it works for 98% of encryptions and it has never failed for me, for some reason you must have had dvd's of the monority 2% or some other problem that i cant explain, all i know iis that i have burned about 60 DVD's and it has never failed, also if AnyDVD doesnt work i use another program called DVD43.

Like I said it doesn't work for everybody. I would test on my Dell, but don't want XCopy on it.
The dvd I had problems w/ Vedas830 was able to do using AnyDVD w/ XCopy Platinum.
