hursty, I copied exactly what you did but it still said "not a ps2 disc". I'm going to try different media now.
edit: i tried different media and it works perfectly now!! its kind of funny because I used a no name brand dvd-r instead of my ritekg04's. thanks for the help people.
btw, I left the PADME file untampered, in fact I just burnt the iso using dvd decryptor.

i know you solved your peoblem, but you might want to clean your ps2 lens.you said the other backup was choppy(i over read this).when you have read problems like that sometimes its a dirty lens.you could get different media to work but your ps2 lens may still be alittle dirty.and maybe adjusting the speed would have helped.but anyway, definitely clean your lens it is something you should do on a regular basis anyway.
and i replaced the padme file because i was bored and fooling around with stuff.i also copied it with the padme file as comparison.it feels like it plays better without the file, but it is hardly noticeable to tell you the truth.

soulflyfg, try it at 2.4X. I tried 4X about 3 times but 2.4X worked for me. Also as sui-cyco mentioned, it won't hurt to clean your lens.

So far I've made 2 backups, and they both don't work. I tried with Decrypter and that didn't work. Then I tried with A120% and still didn't work. First I tried with Maxell (MXL RG03) then Memorex (ProdiscF01), the Memorex didn't get past the first thing you see and the Maxell was very choppy and wouldn't go further than pressing X to create a new profile.
So now I've replaced the PADME with a 1 byte file. Thing is, I can't use Nero. I installed it and all, but it won't detect my DVD burner, and I've re-installed it plenty of times and it still won't detect my burner.
So now that that won't work, I planning on getting an ISO image maker, but I'm not sure which is the best to use for PS2 backups. Anyone know of a good ISO maker for PS2 backups?

I just got UltraISO ME and I'm burning the image it created, I'll post back with results.
UPDATE: Didn't work, it showed a red border in the Swap Magic prompt.
Well, I still have the image on my HDD, anyone have any suggestions?

i noticed you are using swap magic 2.0.that is a very outdated version of swap magic.you could try cdloader from swap magic.com and see if that works.

ofnir1 try this I had the same problem use Alcohol 120 rip and burn as regular and then use swap magic 3.3 or 3.6 and instead of refreshing the toc just use the flip top with the swap disc wit the backup and hit x and make sure your disc is clean i've been playing for awile wit no mess ups yet hope this helps.

joker82, I've already tried that, except for I don't have swap magic 3.3 or 3.6. I am planning on buying a mod later on though. But until then, I have yet to do what sui-cyco and hursty suggested, I'm working on a friends computer and it's one thing after another lol.

I finally got the chance to take another shot at MOH4, and it works now. It loads a lot faster without the dummy file. Only thing is, it skips on the cutscenes, but no problems with the gameplay. Thank you hursty and sui-cyco!

Oh yeah, I burned MOH4 onto an Office Depot DVD-R, they are RITEKG04's.
